She found her passion for the fire service while doing a ride out with a friend at the City of Denton. Although being in her mid 20’s, she had never met a woman firefighter prior to her ride out. After watching the woman preform the same tasks as her male counterpart, and not receiving special favors, she realized this profession was in fact what she wanted to pursue. She quickly set her aspirations of being an accountant aside to focus on what she calls “The best job EVER!” She went through EMT, Paramedic and Fire Academy with North Central Texas College. While still new in the profession, she has found the camaraderie and brotherhood to be the glue that holds the profession together. Tracy is passionate at helping women, both young and old, know that this profession is an option and something they can aspire to be.
