1st Vice President, North Texas Women Firefighters
Firefighter/Paramedic, Addison Fire Department
Deborah has been with Addison since 2014. Prior to Addison, she worked as a Paramedic for Arlington EMS. She fell in love the paramedicine side of this industry years prior, but quickly realized she wanted to do more. Deborah had help from several females, many of whom are current, active members of NTXWFF while she trained for her dream job. She gives credit to their consistent encouragement as a reason she was able to successfully make it through the rigorous application process. Her advice to every female considering this career is to never give up, even when they feel absolutely defeated! Use every set back as a means to push oneself further next time. Deborah works diligently at helping this group become a place where high schools, EMS classes and Fire Academy’s send their students for inspiration and guidance. She believes that although this career does not cater to females, with the right attitude and heart, you can and will succeed!
